Our 7th Visit to the Hospital

We were happy to have our seventh visit today at the hospital in the Adult Day Program
Gracie as usual did wonderful and was the entertainment as well as a therapy dog today.

I brought a new toy called BOODA - which was all green and lots of legs. The participants threw it up in the air for Gracie. A few made her shake a paw as well.
It was great fun and we are looking forward to finishing our next 3 visits to get our uniform and ID tags!

Our 6th Visit to the Hospital

Hello there,

Today we had our 6th visit to the hosptial. Today was exciting as it was our first visit unescorted!
We missed our escort June, but it was fun to do it on our own too. St John Ambulance has a great program where you have a number of escorted visits before you get your Uniform. This was beneficial as it made us more comfortable in our visits.

Gracie loves visiting and the clients love to see her. She gets lots of love and ear scratches.
Today one of the elevators were broken so she had to spend more time on it then normal - she did great even though she isn't a fan!

When we arrived at the 5th floor - to sign in for our volunteer shift - she started limping. I sat down and found a spring wrapped around her paw! It was like one paw was on a pogo stick! - she was fine but I was worried - she walked fine and there didn't seem to be any cuts!

Anyway here is a picture of a 70 lb lap dog!Gracie!

See ya next time!

Welcome to the Adventures of Gracie

Hi there
This blog is to show the world the Adventures of Gracie Fine the Chocolate Lab!
She is our 4 year old Choc Lab that is the best lab in the world! Well we think so anyway!

She has posed for Pedigree for their treat bags - so she is a model! (they are due to come out anytime now!)

She also is a St. John's Ambulance Therapy Dog - We started visiting York Central Hospital In May in the Adult Day Program. She loves it and so do the clients of the program!

She is my personal trainer - as I know she has to walk at least 45 min a day - she comes and gets Warren and me off the couch after dinner!

And she is our family dog and a family member! She is always by my side and I can't believe how lucky we are to have her!

I make a journal of our visits so I thought - why not blog them!

Anyway Look for new ones - I will put this through as a feed as soon as I figure out how!
